Description

Get paths and paths made with natural gravels with the comfort of a concrete path. Comfortable to walk, for bicycles and even for wheelchairs but with the natural appearance of a gravel path.

It is the most economical gravel stabilizer on the market but that works perfectly, just as the most expensive product that can multiply its price by 10.

Its main objective is to control and avoid soil erosion, so that aggregates such as the sand or gravel keep in place and do not crawl or move by rain.

It only supports pedestrian traffic and can be used by up to 10% slope, placing fastening staples every 30 cm. parallel to the direction of the slope.

Being flexible, can you curve and surround obstacles?

It is manufactured with a very flexible 100% recycled plastic.

You can adapt to hills and turn in curves easily, to shape our fastening staples

Can you cut and join?

They are manufactured in dimensions of 2.55 x 6 m. but sI a smaller size is needed, they can be easily cut. To join them, it is as simple as passing flakes through the holes of each grid or staping them with an office stapler.

Do I need antihierbas mesh?

We recommend the placement of Antihierba mesh As a very useful complement, and is installed under the stabilizer to help with stability and permeability, it also does a great job to prevent weed growth through the filling material.

What filling material can I use? Is a base required?

You can choose sand or gravel as filling material, but for heavy pedestrian traffic, we recommend using only gravel.

The best gravel size to use is between 6 and 20 mm.

It is recommended, although it is not essential, to place a base layer of 5 cm. high under the grilles.

Gravel stabilizer characteristics

  • Manufactured with 100% recycled material.
  • 2.55 x 6 m modules (15.3 ).
  • The cells have a size of 20x20 cm and 5 cm high.
  • They have perforations that allow water to drain very well and avoid flooding.
  • For each pack of 15,3 m² 1,200 kg are necessary. of gravel, it is recommended that it be gravel and not sing rolled, to compacte better.
  • The ideal gravel size is of granulometry between 6 and 20 mm, any gravel within that range is valid.
  • Weight unit 7.1 kg.

Advantages of gravel stabilizer

  • Easy placement, little effort.
  • Affordable price, much more comfortable and practical garden roads.
  • The pieces join very easy, with a normal stapler.
  • Drenant roads, avoid the creation of the annoying puddles.

Placement of flexible gravel stabilizer

 Important!

Playing the gravel stabilizer is not excessively complicated but it is required to follow concrete steps, it is a matter of patience and time more than skill.

  1. If the land in which you are going to place the stabilizer is earth or herbs can leave it is highly advisable to put a Antihierba mesh. We cut the mesh as stabilizer and hold it with fastening staples so that it does not move.
  2. We extend the flexible stabilizer on the mesh, we stretch it well and hold it, since the stabilizer will take a pier and shrink. We hold it all over the perimeter with staples until it is perfectly stretched.
  3. We begin to fill the cells with the gravel, very little by little, if we throw a lot of gravel the stabilizer will crush and/or lift.
  4. Once we have "dominated" a first section we can already pour more gravel on that section and push it towards empty cells. From this moment on, work is easier and faster.
  5. Once we have the entire stabilizer, it is recommended to throw 5 mm more gravel, so that the stabilizer is not seen. At that time it is recommended to step on the gravel, if we have a roller that weigh it would be perfect, but if we do not have one we can put a table and get on top to gradually step on the ground, in this way the gravel will be compacted very well And we will get the comfortable effect we are looking for.

If you do not know the product or you have doubt if you are going to place it well, we recommend asking for a single pack and try, the investment is not very large and the effect achieved once is placed is very pleasant and practical.

How much stone do I need?

How much stone do I need for the ground?

    For shot and gravel song:
    • ± 80kg per m², based on a 5cm layer.*For granulometries> 32mm a thicker layer is necessary.• Saca consumption: 1000kg = 0.625m³.
    • Covering capacity: ± 12.5m² with a layer of 5 cm.

    For pine cortex:
    • ± 70L per m², based on a 5cm layer.
    • Saca consumption: 1000L = ± 1m³ = ± 600kg
    • Covering capacity: ± 14m² with a layer of 5 cm.

    For volcanic, slate and chamota:
    • ± 50kg per m², based on a 5cm layer.
    • Saca consumption: 1000kg = ± 1m³
    • Covering capacity: ± 20m² with a layer of 5 cm

How much stone do I need to fill a gabion?

    Density of ± 1,650kg by 1m³.

The calculation is very simple to understand with an example, if you have a 100x50x30 cm gav. You have to make the following accounts:
    1x0.5x0,3 = 0.15m³
    0.15x1,650 = 247.50kg. stone.
*It is always good to calculate an extra 5%, since the gavions when filling them are a little and always enters some more stone than in the theoretical calculations.

    Clarifications

    ATTENTION!

    Granulometries are sizes of sizes

Real sizes can vary slightly, since when talking, for example, 60-80mm stone, it means that the stones pass through a square mesh of 80x80mm. and do not go through a 60x60mm.
This 80x80 mesh can pass a 100mm stone. long and 65mm. wide so there may be a percentage of stones greater than 80 and less than 60mm.

    Broken stones

On the other hand, in the stones of more than 60mm. There is a percentage of up to 10% stones that can be broken during classification, washing, loading and downloading, today we have no machinery that avoids those breaks.

In the photos you can see, only real products are seen, broken pieces have been removed.

    Dust and sand in products

This product is not washed, so it contains dust, sand and even traces of other products due to processing and transport. This is not a problem when using it; The stone will be washed alone over time or can throw water before using it.
