In a spacious garden, a small slab fills the ground with joints and makes the whole thing look busier than it is. The Enebro slab goes the other way: 60 × 50 cm of surface with a pronounced texture, for clean, contemporary paving.

🧰 Installation

  1. Set out the surface and check the base is firm with no soft spots.
  2. On lawn or soil, remove 8 cm and spread compacted crushed aggregate.
  3. Add 3 cm of levelling sand and screed it across the whole surface.
  4. Lay the slabs with two people because of the weight and size.
  5. Check the level piece by piece; at this large format, any misalignment shows immediately.
  6. Brush fine sand into the joints and water at low pressure.

💡 Professional tip: a large format doesn't forgive a poor base. At 60 × 50 cm, even a half-centimetre gap under one corner makes the slab rock underfoot and, over time, crack diagonally. Screed the levelling sand across the whole surface before you start laying, don't fill in piece by piece as you go.
