Turégano chimney cap: the flue outlet everyone can see from the street
The chimney is the last thing finished on a job and almost always the part that looks worst: an exposed-brick pillar, a metal pipe sticking out, or a concrete slab cut to size on site. It's visible from the whole street and gives away the finish. The Turégano range solves the whole capping job with precast pieces in slate texture, in two finishes, Champagne and Pirineos, that build a clean cap with the same material language as stone cladding and no on-site cutting.

Pillar-and-cap system: the range combines pillar pieces (30 × 30 and 40 × 40 cm footprint, 20 cm tall) with caps that top them (40 × 40 and 50 × 50 cm). Each cap overhangs 5 cm per side beyond its pillar, exactly the overhang needed for water to fall clear of the brickwork.
Molded-in slate texture: the relief comes from the factory across the whole visible face, so the cap has the look of natural stone without the weight, cost or layout work of cladding.
Two finishes that match the façade: Champagne, warm and sandy, and Pirineos, greyer and cooler. Chosen to suit the roof tile and cladding color.
Course-by-course assembly: the pillar pieces stack to give whatever height is needed, so a short chimney can be built up with the same cap material instead of exposed brickwork.
Concrete with no internal reinforcement: there's no steel inside for acidic smoke condensates or rainwater to corrode. It won't flake from corrosion and needs no maintenance.

🧰 Installation
Measure the outer section of the flue and choose the pillar piece that wraps around it, and the cap that overhangs 5 cm per side beyond that footprint.
Level the existing top with mortar to get a flat, horizontal surface to start the first course on.
Bed the pillar pieces with fine-joint mortar, checking plumb and level on every course; don't let it lean to one side, since the error accumulates.
Always keep the internal flue section clear: the pieces wrap the duct, they don't cover it.
Finish with the cap centered so the overhang is equal on all four sides, and seal the perimeter joint.
Clean mortar residue off the visible face before it hardens: on a slate texture, dried mortar won't come off.

💡 Professional tip: order the pillar pieces and the cap from the same pallet and, if possible, the same order. These are molded pieces with texture and color, and between different batches there are small tone differences that don't show on the warehouse floor but stand out a lot once installed and seen backlit from the street. Also allow 5% extra material: the edges of these pieces chip easily when carried up to the roof, and a single broken piece means a second delivery that costs more than that whole 5%. And don't use the cap to narrow the flue thinking "it'll draw better": it's the opposite — reducing the section restricts the exhaust and causes condensation.
