Levante Wet-Look Water-Repellent - Enhances Color and Slows Efflorescence

Levante: wet-look water repellent for artificial stone

Artificial stone and precast concrete lose color intensity outdoors and get covered in that whitish haze known as efflorescence. Levante is a colorless surface treatment that fixes the tone with a permanent wet-look finish, slows the formation of efflorescence and stabilizes the piece's color.

✅ Key advantages

  • Intense wet look: enhances the natural color and texture of artificial stone, as if freshly wetted.
  • Slows efflorescence: reduces the appearance of the white limescale haze on the surface.
  • Stabilizes color: supports the durability of precast concrete and delays the tone from aging.
  • Moderate coverage: 0.16 to 0.25 liters per square meter, depending on how absorbent the substrate is.
  • Colorless: adds no pigment, it works with the piece's own color.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Outdoor precast concrete pavements and flooring.
  • Artificial stone cladding and facing on façades.
  • Wall caps, pillars, balustrades and boundary-wall trim.
  • Pool edges, porches and garden paths.
  • Chimneys and decorative artificial stone elements.

  • Color: colorless.
  • Coverage: approximately 0.16-0.25 l/m².

🧰 Application

  1. Clean the surface thoroughly, removing mortar residue, dust, grease and efflorescence. If you've used a descaling cleaner, rinse well with water.
  2. Let the substrate dry completely: the product needs a sound, dry surface free of dust.
  3. Test in an inconspicuous area and wait for it to dry, since the wet-look effect darkens the tone permanently.
  4. Protect window and door frames, glass and nearby planting before you start.
  5. Apply evenly and undiluted, avoiding pooling and drips. Work in complete sections to avoid lap marks.
  6. Ventilate the area during and after application, and wear gloves and protective glasses.

📦 Available formats

💡 Professional tip: the order of steps is what ruins most jobs. Clean first, then let it dry properly — 24 hours or more if the piece is thick or it has rained — and only then apply the water repellent. If you apply it to a damp piece, you trap the water inside and end up with stains and a white haze locked under the treatment. Don't apply it in direct sun or with rain forecast in the next 24 hours: the product dries before it can penetrate and coverage suffers. And allow for 10% extra material, since very porous substrates soak up noticeably more than the 0.25 l/m² reference figure.
