Jara Kerb - Stackable for Flower Beds and Deep Planters

Jara Kerb: stackable concrete kerb to build up height

A 20 cm flower bed falls short as soon as you want to plant shrubs or herbs with a rootball. The Jara Kerb is designed to be stacked in several courses, so with the same piece you can build a low edge or a 40 or 60 cm built-in planter.

✅ Key advantages

  • Stackable design: pieces stack to build deeper planters and flower beds with no need to change product.
  • Four factory colours: White, Anthracite, Sand and Bronze, in a smooth or two-tone finish.
  • Manageable weight: 9.5 kg per piece, easy to handle when working at height on an already-set course.
  • Contemporary look: a clean 4.5 cm edge that suits modern paving.
  • Pallet of 114 pieces: 57 linear metres per delivery, or enough material for several planters.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Edging for flower beds and borders.
  • Multi-course built-in planters.
  • Defining paths and gravel areas.
  • Raised beds for an urban vegetable garden.
  • Dividing lawn from terrace.

📋 Technical data sheet

  • Dimensions: 50 × 20 × 4.5 cm.
  • Weight: 9.5 kg per unit.
  • Material: coloured-mix concrete.
  • Finishes: smooth and two-tone.
  • Colours: White, Anthracite, Sand and Bronze.
  • Units/pallet: 114 units.

🧰 Installation

  1. Set out the perimeter and dig a trench about 12 cm deep for the first course.
  2. Bed the base course on mortar, checking level in both directions.
  3. Let the base set before stacking the second course.
  4. Lay the upper courses with staggered joints, using beads of cement-based adhesive.
  5. If the planter has more than two courses, fit a drainage membrane on the inner face before backfilling with soil.
  6. Backfill with substrate only once the mortar has fully hardened.

📦 Available formats

  • 50 × 20 × 4.5 cm in White — single unit or pallet of 114 units.
  • 50 × 20 × 4.5 cm in Anthracite — single unit or pallet of 114 units.
  • 50 × 20 × 4.5 cm in Sand — single unit or pallet of 114 units.
  • 50 × 20 × 4.5 cm in Bronze — single unit or pallet of 114 units.

💡 Professional tip: if you're stacking two or more courses to build a planter, don't backfill with soil until 48 hours have passed, and always fit a drainage membrane on the inside. The classic mistake is loading the substrate the same day: the push of damp soil against fresh mortar opens the top joint, and the constant moisture against the concrete eventually leaves white efflorescence on the visible face.
