Level the top of the wall; with 1-metre pieces, any unevenness stands out a lot.
Mark the centre line of the wall with a string to centre the ridge.
Spread flexible bonding mortar over the entire bearing surface.
Position the piece with two people, holding it by the ends.
Leave a 3-5 mm joint and point it with elastic mortar matching the piece's tone.
Clean off excess while fresh with a sponge and clean water.
