Ésera Wall Coping - U-Shaped Profile That Seals the Wall on Three Sides

Ésera Wall Coping: the U-shaped profile that wraps around the wall

A wall with no coping lets water in through the sides and top, and the result is damp, moss and cracks that gradually weaken the structure. The Ésera Wall Coping has a U-shaped cross-section: it wraps around the wall completely, sealing the top and both side faces with a single piece.

✅ Key advantages

  • U-shaped section: wraps the wall completely and seals both sides against damp.
  • Drip edge at the base: keeps rainwater off the wall and protects the façade from run-off.
  • Extra thickness: more strength and a more elegant finish than a standard coping.
  • No need to point the sides: the skirt covers the join between coping and masonry.
  • 4 sizes: from 15 to 35.5 cm wide, in Grey, White and Beige.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Garden walls and flower-bed borders.
  • Narrow enclosure walls and boundaries between plots.
  • Capping for walls exposed to driving rain.
  • Capping for unfinished block walls.

🧰 Installation

  1. Measure the actual width of the finished wall, including any cladding, and choose the size that fits.
  2. Clean the top of the wall and remove any mortar burrs that would stop the piece from seating properly.
  3. Spread flexible bonding mortar on top of the wall, without reaching the side skirts.
  4. Fit the piece horizontally, without forcing it on edge, and tap with a rubber mallet.
  5. Leave a 3-5 mm joint between pieces and point with elastic mortar.
  6. Clean off excess while fresh, especially where the skirt meets the wall.

💡 Professional tip: measure the wall at several points before ordering, not just one. The U-shaped piece has to fit, and unlike a flat slab it won't forgive an extra centimetre: if the wall is slightly wider at one point, the piece won't go on there and you're left with an incomplete finish. If the measurements vary, choose the next size up and fill the gap with mortar.
