Corners are where a pool coping goes wrong: badly finished mitre cuts, open joints and chipped edges. The Ainsa range comes with straight pieces plus factory-made inner and outer corner pieces, so the whole perimeter is closed with manufactured pieces rather than angle-grinder cuts done on site.

🧰 Installation
Dry-lay the whole perimeter first, placing the four corner pieces before splitting the remaining space between the straight pieces.
Wet the pool's edge before bonding: dry concrete draws the water out of the adhesive and stops it from curing properly.
Bed with a C2 cement-based adhesive rated for outdoor and immersion use, double-buttered, leaving a 1.5-2 cm overhang past the pool edge.
Set a 1.5-2% fall towards the outside so splash water drains away from the pool.
Leave a 3-5 mm joint between pieces and an elastic expansion joint every 4-5 m and at every corner.
Point with an outdoor-rated mortar and seal the joint against the pool shell with polyurethane sealant.

💡 Professional tip: count the corner pieces before the straight ones. A rectangular pool needs four outer corners; an L-shaped pool or one with a Roman staircase can need six or seven between inner and outer corners, and corner pieces come on pallets of 12, so falling short means waiting on another delivery with the job stalled. Order 8-10% extra on the rest of the perimeter. And remember this isn't a paving slab: it works as a permanently wet overhang, so insist on a C2 adhesive rated for immersion and an expansion joint against the pool surround slab; without that joint, summer thermal movement splits the coping right at the 4 cm edge.
