🧰 Installation
Have the 66 mm drain pipe installed and tested before laying the piece; with 76 kg on top there's no way to correct it afterwards.
Compact a 10-15 cm base of crushed aggregate under the tray's footprint; on loose fill it will settle unevenly by the first winter.
Spread a fresh mortar bed of 3-4 cm and lower the tray with two people, without dragging it on its edge.
Level with a rubber mallet and check with a spirit level that water flows to the drain and that the tray doesn't tip toward the pool.
Seal the perimeter with an elastic polyurethane joint, leaving 5-8 mm of clearance for expansion.
Wait 48 hours before running water or walking on the loaded tray.

💡 Professional tip: the classic mistake is leaving the tray flush with the paving and sloping toward the pool. Raise the tray 1 cm above the surrounding paving and check with a level that the runoff goes outward: soapy water and sunscreen that flow back into the pool spike chlorine consumption and clog the filter every weekend. If it's bedded on existing paving, use a C2 adhesive rated for outdoor and immersion use; indoor-grade adhesive hydrolyses under constant moisture and within two seasons the tray starts to rock. And always leave a perimeter expansion joint: without it the paving pushes against the tray in summer and opens a crack at its thinnest edge.
