Peñalara Baluster 85 cm: what it is
It's the tallest piece in the Peñalara collection: a concrete baluster measuring 13 × 13 × 85 cm that lets the balustrade reach, in a single piece, the height needed for a terrace, balcony or pool enclosure. It avoids the workaround of building a low wall first to gain a few centimetres, which is what ends up happening when the baluster falls short.

🧰 Installation
Check that the wall or supporting ring beam is level and clean.
Set out the spacing between centres end to end and mark each point before drilling.
Fit the galvanised dowel at each mark; at 85 cm high, the dowel is essential, not optional.
Bed the baluster on a pat of bonding mortar, threading the dowel through the lower hole.
Plumb each piece and check the run's alignment with a string line before the mortar grabs.
Fit the top cap, which ties the whole run together, and point the joints at the end.

💡 Professional tip: in a pool enclosure, what counts is the height of the finished assembly measured from the walkable ground, not the height of the baluster itself. Measure from the finished floor, not from the ring beam: between paving, bedding mortar and the cap, you can easily lose 8 or 10 cm, and that difference is what decides whether the fence meets code or has to be redone.
