Cuéllar Pillar - Ribbed Texture for Construction and Garden

Cuéllar Pillar: what it is

The Cuéllar pillar stands out for its ribbed texture, a pattern of parallel lines that adds shadow and depth to the enclosure. It supports two decorative layouts, staggered or in a running line, so the same piece gives two different looks for the pillar.

✅ Key advantages

  • Ribbed texture: the parallel lines cast their own shadow and give volume to the exposed face.
  • Two decorative layouts: staggered or in a running line, depending on the effect the project needs.
  • Three colours: grey, white and beige, to fit any enclosure palette.
  • Lightweight: 10.62 kg per piece, the most manageable in our pillar range.
  • Contemporary design: a durable, tough piece built for modern outdoor spaces.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Pillars for fences and plot enclosures.
  • Piers for gates and entrances.
  • Buttresses and reinforcements in garden walls.
  • Decorative elements and bases for outdoor structures.
  • Garden and terrace decoration projects.

🧰 Installation

  1. Decide before you start whether you'll lay it staggered or in a running line: changing your mind partway up shows.
  2. Cast a level footing and leave reinforcement starter bars on the pillar's axis.
  3. Bed the first piece on fresh mortar and check level, plumb and square.
  4. Stack the pieces, threading the reinforcement through the central void, keeping the ribs always facing the same way.
  5. Fill the central void with flowing concrete in lifts and check plumb every two courses.
  6. Cap it with a pillar cap with a drip edge and clean the ribs before the mortar hardens.

📦 Available formats

  • 40 × 40 × 17.1 cm — grey, white or beige — single unit or pallet of 48.
  • 30 × 30 × 17.1 cm — grey, white or beige — single unit or pallet of 72.

💡 Professional tip: the ribs act like little channels and carry water downward, so always keep the ribbing vertical and never install a piece rotated halfway round. If one course ends up with the lines crossed, water pools at the change of direction, and that joint is where the enclosure's first dirt stain shows up.
