Jara Bevelled Pool Coping: a clean edge in high-compaction concrete
A sharp edge on a pool border chips at the first knock and cuts when someone leans on it to get out of the water. The Jara bevelled coping solves that with a factory bevel in high-compaction concrete, rated USRV 78, class 3, giving a friendly edge without losing the contemporary straight line.

🧰 Installation
Dry-lay the perimeter and split the adjustment across several joints; don't leave a cut piece at a visible corner.
Level the pool shell's crown and wet it before bonding, so it doesn't draw water out of the adhesive.
Bed with a C2 cement-based adhesive rated for outdoor and immersion use, double-buttered, with a 1.5-2 cm overhang past the pool edge.
Keep a 1.5-2% fall towards the outside along the whole edge.
Leave a 3-5 mm joint between pieces and an elastic expansion joint every 4-5 m and at every corner.
Point with an outdoor-rated mortar without filling the bevel: the chamfer must stay exposed or the effect and the edge protection are both lost.

💡 Professional tip: when pointing, don't fill the bevel. It's the most common mistake with bevelled pieces: the worker trowels it flush with mortar, and that loses both the joint line and the edge protection, which was the whole point of the bevel. Point only up to where the chamfer starts. Also bear in mind this is a high-compaction concrete: it cuts more slowly on a disc, and the cut should be water-cooled, so plan to minimise cutting and order 8-10% extra material. And don't treat it like a paving slab even though the finish looks similar: here the piece works wet and in overhang, so an immersion-rated adhesive and an expansion joint against the surround slab are mandatory.
