Duero Wall Coping End Piece - Drip Edge on 3 Sides for Wall Ends and Pillars

Duero Wall Coping End Piece: the piece that closes the wall and caps the pillar

The running slab only has a drip edge on its two long sides, so the end face is left unprotected, and that's exactly where stains and damp get in. The Duero Wall Coping End Piece has a drip edge on three of its four sides, so the end of the course and the top of the pillar are protected from every exposed angle.

✅ Key advantages

  • Drip edge on three sides: protects the end face, the area hit hardest by driving rain.
  • Purpose-made pillar piece: the 30.5 × 35.5 cm size caps the pillar with no cutting.
  • 8 sizes: an end piece for every width of running slab in the range.
  • 3 colours: Grey, White and Beige, matching the running slab so the end piece doesn't stand out.
  • High-quality concrete: resistant to weathering and freeze-thaw cycles.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Closing the free end of enclosure walls.
  • Capping fence and entrance pillars.
  • Starting and finishing terrace parapets.
  • Capping garden walls and built-in planters.

🧰 Installation

  1. Lay the running slab first and leave the end gap for the end piece.
  2. Dry-check that the end piece's overhang matches the course.
  3. Spread flexible bonding mortar over the bearing surface.
  4. Bed the end piece with the blank face towards the inside of the wall and the drip-edged end facing out.
  5. Leave a 3-5 mm joint with the adjoining piece and point it with elastic mortar.
  6. Clean while fresh and protect from rain for 24 hours.

📦 Available formats

  • Single unit, in the 8 sizes and 3 colours.

💡 Professional tip: the classic mistake is fitting the end piece backwards, with the side that has no drip edge facing out. Before applying mortar, turn the piece over and find the plain face: that's the one that joins the running slab. And always order a spare end piece per project: if one breaks while you're fitting it, waiting for a single unit can leave the wall open for several days.
