Duero Wall Coping: the flat slab that finishes and protects your wall
A wall with no capping gets dirtier with every rainfall and gradually loses both looks and strength. The Duero Wall Coping is a flat slab of high-performance HAP concrete made with no internal reinforcement, so it will never burst or stain with rust, and its underside drip edges keep water away from the masonry.

Material: high-strength concrete (HAP) with selected natural aggregates.
Profile: flat slab with drip edges on the underside.
Clean and level the top of the wall; remove any mortar residue and dust.
Dry-lay the whole course first to spread out the adjustment cut, never leaving it for the last piece.
Spread flexible bonding mortar over the top of the wall, with a continuous bead along the edges.
Bed each slab with equal overhang on both sides and tap with a rubber mallet until level.
Leave a 3-5 mm joint between pieces and fill it with elastic pointing mortar.
Clean off excess with a damp sponge before it sets and protect from rain for 24 hours.

💡 Professional tip: the most common mistake is choosing a slab the same width as the wall. The piece needs to overhang by 2-3 cm on each side for the drip edge to work; if it's flush, water still runs down the façade and the stains appear all the same. Also allow for 5% extra pieces: corner cuts and the occasional chipped edge on delivery are unavoidable.
