Additives per Kilogram Calcium Bentonite Animal Feed:
Recommendations: Avoid simultaneous use of macrolides administered orally and robenidine. Do not use with coccidiostats other than robenidine if the concentration of Bentonite exceeds 5000 mg/kg.
Dose: Do not exceed 2% of the complete feed.
Cattle:
Heifers: 100-150 g per animal per day (1 g per kg of live weight).
Calves: 1 g per kg of live weight from birth to 2 months, 150-250 g per day thereafter. Do not use beyond 2 months for white meat production.
Dairy Cows: 250-300 g per animal per day.
Goats:
Appropriate Granulometry: Flour from birth to 15 days, then fine Semoulette. In case of ecthyma, always use flour.
Dose:
Kids: 2-4 g/day from birth to 15 days, then incorporate Semoulette at 2% in the ration.
Dairy Goats: 20-40 g per day.
Horses:
Poultice Application:
Apply a layer against the hair and then a second layer in the direction of the hair, smoothing. The
thickness should be 3 mm. 2. Allow to dry for 1 to 1.5 hours and then remove with a sponge and running water or a stream of warm water.
Precautions: Do not wrap the poultice in a film or band. Rest or transport bands can be applied after treatment.
Sheep:
Appropriate Granulometry: Flour from birth to 20 days, then fine Semoulette. In case of ecthyma, always use flour.
Dose:
Lambs: 2% of the complete ration in flour form from birth to 20 days, then fine Semoulette at 2%.
Dairy Ewes: 10-30 g per ewe per day.
Waterfowl:
Appropriate Granulometry Calcium Bentonite Animal Feed: Flour mixed in the feed, coarse Semoulette in the drinkers.
Dose:
From 3-4 days until the ducks hatch: Present a mixture of clay (40% clay / 60% water) under each radiant.
From the ducks' hatching until the start of fattening: Incorporate 2% clay into the total ration.
Fattening period: Incorporate 5 to 10 g per duck per fattening or dissolve 100 g of clay per duck every 5 days in the water.
Pigs:
Appropriate Granulometry: Flour or fine Semoulette.
Dose:
Piglets: Flour from birth to weaning. During weaning and fattening, incorporate 2% fine Semoulette into the ration.
Sows: Incorporate 20 kg of clay per ton of feed during the first 6 weeks of gestation and 3-4 weeks of lactation.
