Petri parchment paving: the veined concrete tile for gardens and terraces
Prefabricated concrete tile with a parchment-style veined finish: the surface features a pattern of soft veins, like old paper or sedimentary stone, which breaks up the uniformity of the concrete without reaching the pronounced relief of slate. It is made in 30x30x4 and 40x40x4 cm sizes and seven colors, and is sold by the loose square meter or by full pallet.
It is a 4 cm, pedestrian-use tile: gardens, terraces, porches, walkways, and pool edges. It is not a vehicle-traffic piece. If the paving has to withstand cars, the correct piece is one with 6 cm thickness: the Petri Tile 40x20x6 or the Petri Bush-hammered Tile in 30x30x6 and 40x40x6, with 135-139 kg/m².

Soft veining: the parchment pattern adds movement to the floor and hides outdoor stains and dust very well, without the harsh look of a heavily textured finish.
Each piece is different: the veining does not repeat tile by tile, so the finished paving looks natural rather than like an industrial grid.

Two pedestrian formats: 30x30x4 for small and winding areas, 40x40x4 for larger surfaces with fewer joints.

Returnable pallet: the pallet is invoiced at €14 each and refunded at €13 each when you return it in good condition.

Compact the base well and spread the bedding layer: sand and gravel in pedestrian garden areas, mortar or tile adhesive over a slab if you want a permanent fixing.
Set the 1 to 2% slope toward the drain or toward the landscaped area before laying the first piece.
Dry-lay and plan it out: with the 40x40 format, it is advisable to center the area so the cuts are distributed at both ends.
Set each tile with a rubber mallet and check the level with a straightedge every three or four pieces.
Respect a minimum joint of 3 to 5 mm between pieces; concrete expands and a butt joint will eventually chip the edges.
Grout with mortar or stabilized sand, clean off any fresh residue, and wait 24-48 hours before walking on it.

30x30x4 cm: beige, pearl gray, salmon and black. Pallet of 12.96 m².
40x40x4 cm: gray, beige, red, brown, salmon, black and pearl gray. Pallet of 16.64 m².
Same price per square meter, different pallet price: both formats work out at €23.81/m², but the 30x30x4 pallet contains 12.96 m² and the 40x40x4 pallet contains 16.64 m². That is why one costs €308.61 and the other €396.24: it is not a price change, it is that they do not contain the same number of square meters.

💡 Professional tip: measure the actual surface and order 5-7% extra; in a garden with curves and flower beds, the cuts use up much more material than it seems on the plan. And when laying, alternate pieces from two or three pallets at a time: the veining and tone vary slightly between batches, and mixing them distributes that variation across the whole floor instead of leaving areas with different colors.
