💡 Professional tip: 4 HP single-phase on a job site requires a serious power supply. Check the electrical panel before buying: with a small generator or a tight 16 A line, the starting surge will trip the protection again and again. Plan for at least 20-25 A and a cable with a generous cross-section if you are going to use an extension cord.
