Extra-Smooth Diamond-Point Pillar Cap - Polished End Piece with Drip Edge
Extra-Smooth Diamond-Point Pillar Cap: what it is
The extra-smooth diamond-point pillar cap is the pyramid-shaped capping piece with a super-smooth texture that finishes and protects the pillar. Its underside drip edge cuts off water running down the exposed face, so the pillar doesn't stain or get damp at the top.
✅ Key advantages
Four-slope profile: the pyramid shape drains water outward and stops it collecting on top.
Extra-smooth finish: a surface with no visible pores, with the crispness of a piece vibrated in a wet mould.
Perimeter drip edge: breaks the water's fall and keeps it off the pillar's exposed face.
Solid piece: 17.7 kg per unit, with enough mass not to shift in the wind or from a door being slammed.
Two neutral colours: white and cement grey, which combine with almost any enclosure.
🏗️ Recommended applications
Capping enclosure and perimeter fencing pillars.
Capping hinged and sliding gate piers.
Finishing buttresses in garden walls.
Capping pillars for porches, pergolas and built barbecues.
Landscaping projects with a contemporary look.

🧰 Installation
Finish the pillar with the last course flush and let the mortar cure before capping it.
Clean the top of the pillar and check the level in both directions: a grain of grit under the piece will leave it wobbling.
Dry-fit the pillar cap and spread the overhang evenly on all four sides.
Apply concrete-paver adhesive in interior beads, keeping clear of the edge so it doesn't spill over.
Bed with a rubber mallet or an interposed wood block, never a metal mallet directly on the exposed face.
Remove excess adhesive while fresh and check the drip-edge groove is clear all the way round.
📦 Available formats

38 × 38 × 4 × 8 cm — white or cement grey — single unit or pallet of 36.
💡 Professional tip: the most common mistake is blocking the drip edge with adhesive. If you apply the bead too close to the edge, the material spills over, fills the groove, and water no longer breaks away cleanly: within two winters you'll have black streaks down the pillar. Always work 3 cm in from the edge and run the tip of the trowel along the groove before it hardens.
