The charm of traditional encaustic floors, with the strength of today's porcelain. Traditional encaustic cement floors are captivating, but porous, delicate and costly to maintain. The Amalfi series by Vetonek gives you the same Mediterranean character in porcelain stoneware: it does not stain, does not fade, withstands frost and cleans with a mop.
Each 20x20 cm design — named after Italy's most beautiful villages: Positano, Ravello, Burano, Sorrento, Capri, Taormina, Cefalú, Portofino and Vernazza — combines several different faces supplied mixed in the same box, so the laid floor never looks repetitive: the result is a lively pattern, like that of a tastefully restored village house.

Where it looks spectacular
Vintage-style kitchens and bathrooms, terrace and porch floors, plinths and worktop splashbacks, hospitality venues looking for personality. Combine it with a plain floor to frame areas like a ceramic rug.
Vetonek tip: always order 10% extra material for cuts and future repairs. One box covers exactly 1 m², so working it out is easy: measure, add 10% and round up to full boxes. For building work or large projects, the 80 m² full pallet gives you the best price per metre.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this authentic cement encaustic tile?
No, and that's an advantage: it is porcelain stoneware that reproduces the patterns of classic encaustic floors. Unlike cement encaustic tiles, it is not porous, needs no periodic sealing, doesn't stain with oil or wine and withstands frost outdoors.
How many square meters does a box cover?
Each box contains 25 pieces of 20x20 cm covering exactly 1 m² (18 kg). The full pallet holds 80 boxes, i.e. 80 m², and is the option with the best price per meter for construction work and projects.
Do the patterns repeat a lot once laid?
No. Each reference combines several designs or different faces that come mixed in the same box and are laid alternately, so the finished floor looks lively, with no sense of a repeated pattern.
Can I use it outdoors or on the wall?
Yes to both. It is suitable for floors and walls, indoors and outdoors, because porcelain stoneware is frost-proof. It looks spectacular on porches, terraces, kitchen splashbacks and skirtings. For pool areas or ramps with frequent water, ask us first.
How do I clean and maintain it?
With water and a neutral detergent; it needs no waxes or polishes. Avoid strong acids (hydrochloric acid) on the grout. Being matte glazed porcelain, it doesn't fade with sunlight or with ordinary cleaning products.
How much material should I order for my renovation?
Measure the surface, add 10% for cuts, waste and a few spare pieces for the future, and round up to full boxes. Since each box is 1 m², the math is direct: a 14 m² room → 15.4 → 16 boxes.
How is it shipped and how long does it take?
The boxes travel protected on a pallet and are delivered by truck to the curbside. As it is ceramic material made in Spain, the usual lead time is a few working days; we confirm the date when you place your order.
