Loarre Pillar - Carved Stone Texture for Enclosures
Loarre Pillar: what it is
The Loarre pillar is the enclosure piece with a carved texture that emulates the nobility of stone, designed for walls and fences where the finish matters as much as the function. Every face leaves the factory with the relief already marked, so the pillar is left exposed, with no cladding needed.
✅ Key advantages
Carved texture: a hewn-stone relief that gives depth and shadow to the enclosure.
Complete system: shares its finish with the Loarre block and is capped with the concrete capital or the flat double pillar cap, both from our range of finishing pieces.
Three colours: white, beige and périgord, the latter a warm ochre tone with a traditional feel.
Manageable weight: 13.1 kg per unit, within the range for manual handling all day.
The texture hides marks: the relief conceals dust and minor weathering stains far better than a smooth face.
🏗️ Recommended applications
Pillars for walls, fences and plot enclosures.
Piers for gates and main entrances.
Buttresses and reinforcements in garden walls.
Bases for pergolas and built porches.
Enclosures with a rustic, traditional look.

🧰 Installation
Cast a levelled footing and leave reinforcement starter bars on the pillar's axis.
Bed the first piece on fresh mortar and check level and plumb in both directions.
Stack the remaining pieces, threading the reinforcement through the central void.
Turn some pieces so the carved relief doesn't always repeat the same pattern on the same face.
Fill the central void with flowing concrete in lifts and check plumb every two courses.
Cap it with the range's capital or pillar cap before tying in the wall panel.

💡 Professional tip: with carved texture, mortar that spills over the joint gets into the relief and, once dry, is impossible to remove. Work with a slightly drier mix than usual, remove the excess with the corner of the trowel while fresh, and finish with a stiff-bristle brush before the mortar passes the one-hour mark.
