Two-tone high-visibility shorts class 1

Velilla 303004 two-tone high-visibility shorts: multi-pocket shorts for summer on site

Twill work shorts with six pockets and double safety stitching. This is the two-tone version, with contrast on the darts and hems: it gains in dirt resistance and loses signalling level, as it is rated EN ISO 20471 class 1.

✅ Features

  • EN ISO 20471 class 1 certification: entry level of the standard, for slow-moving or controlled traffic.
  • Six pockets: two front pockets, two bellows pockets with central pleat and hook-and-loop, and two rear bellows pockets with hook-and-loop.
  • Double safety stitching: the seams can take the weight of a tool in the bellows pocket.
  • Comfort darts: let you bend down without the waist pulling.
  • Reflective tapes for low-light conditions.

👷 Suitable for

  • Summer construction work inside marked-off sites.
  • Gardening and municipal services.
  • Warehousing and logistics in hot buildings.
  • Outdoor maintenance and installations.
  • Teams that want a short garment without giving up carrying tools.

🧺 Care

  • Follow the sewn-in label: the manufacturer's data sheet does not publish the washing table.
  • Count the washes: EN ISO 20471 requires the label to state the maximum number of cycles the certification can withstand.
  • Empty the bellows pockets: loose hook-and-loop and forgotten objects are what damage this garment most in the wash.

💡 Tip: Shorts never provide as much visibility as long trousers, simply because they cover less of the leg. Here, the two-tone contrast also keeps them at class 1, while the single-colour 303005 shorts reach class 2. If you need to maintain your team's visibility level in summer, the usual solution is class 1 shorts with a higher-class vest or T-shirt on top.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it class 1 when the 303005 shorts are class 2?

Because the 303004 is two-tone and replaces part of the fluorescent fabric with contrast fabric. The EN ISO 20471 class is calculated from the surface area of fluorescent and retroreflective material.

How many pockets does it have?

Six: two front pockets, two bellows pockets with central pleat and hook-and-loop closure, and two rear bellows pockets with hook-and-loop.

Can I use them as my only high-visibility garment?

Only in environments with slow-moving or controlled traffic. The usual practice is to combine them with a higher-class T-shirt or vest.

Is the fabric the same in both colours?

No. The fluorescent yellow is 210 g/m² twill in 80% polyester - 20% cotton and the fluorescent orange is 240 g/m² twill in 60% cotton - 40% polyester.

Can they take tools in the pockets?

The seams have double safety stitching and the pockets are bellows pockets, designed to expand.

What sizes are available?

S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL.
