Short-sleeve high-visibility technical T-shirt, class 2

Velilla 305602 high-visibility technical T-shirt: class 2 in short sleeves

The work T-shirt that actually reaches EN ISO 20471 class 2: being entirely fluorescent, with no contrast panels, it provides enough surface area for the intermediate level of the standard. 100% polyester Bird-Eye fabric, 140 g/m², breathable and quick-drying.

✅ Features

  • EN ISO 20471 class 2 certification: the T-shirt in this family with the highest visibility level.
  • Bird-Eye fabric: technical polyester knit with a honeycomb structure, breathable and quick-drying.
  • Reflatex reflective tapes on the torso and sleeves.
  • Ribbed crew neck with herringbone tape seam covers.
  • Two fluorescent colours: yellow and orange.

👷 Suitable for

  • Construction and industry in summer.
  • Signage and work around moving machinery.
  • Logistics, warehouses and loading docks.
  • Gardening, roads and municipal services.
  • Teams that need to maintain class 2 even during the hottest hours.

🧺 Care

  • Follow the sewn-in label: the manufacturer's data sheet does not publish the washing instructions.
  • Count the washes: EN ISO 20471 requires the label to state the maximum number of cycles the certification withstands; on a T-shirt worn daily that limit is reached quickly.
  • Do not iron over the reflective tape: direct heat deforms it and it stops reflecting.

💡 Tip: This is the T-shirt to order when the upper garment is the worker's only visibility clothing, because it is class 2. Its two-tone twin 305506 stays at class 1. If you compare it with the cotton 305612, which is also class 2: cotton feels nicer but stays wet; this Bird-Eye dries faster and weighs less.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it class 2 while the two-tone T-shirt 305506 is class 1?

Because the EN ISO 20471 class depends on the surface area of fluorescent fabric and retroreflective tape. This T-shirt is entirely fluorescent and adds up to more surface area.

How does it differ from the cotton T-shirt 305612?

In the fabric. The 305602 is Bird-Eye 100% polyester at 140 g/m², lighter and quick-drying; the 305612 is 55% cotton - 45% polyester piqué at 150 g/m², nicer to the touch but it retains more moisture. Both are class 2.

Is it suitable for road work at night?

Not on its own. That use requires class 3.

How many washes does it withstand?

The manufacturer must state the maximum on the label, as required by EN ISO 20471. On T-shirts worn daily that limit is reached within a few seasons.
