Two-tone class 2 high-visibility jacket

Velilla 153 two-tone high-visibility jacket: class 2 signalling in work twill

A real work jacket, not a vest with sleeves: hard-wearing twill, ribbed cuffs and zipped chest pockets. It is certified to EN ISO 20471 class 2 and comes in four colour combinations, so each team or trade can wear its own without giving up signalling.

✅ Features

  • EN ISO 20471 class 2 certification: the intermediate level of the standard, for construction sites, industry and roads with moderate traffic.
  • Reflective tapes on torso and sleeves: a moving arm is the first thing a driver notices.
  • Ribbed cuffs and elastic side waist: they keep out cold air without squeezing.
  • Two zipped chest pockets: nothing falls out when leaning over a machine.
  • Four two-tone options: navy blue with fluorescent orange or fluorescent yellow, green with fluorescent yellow and grey with fluorescent yellow.

👷 Suitable for

  • Building and construction work on signposted sites.
  • Industry, workshops and maintenance.
  • Logistics and loading docks with forklifts and lorries.
  • Municipal services and urban gardening.
  • Teams that want to tell crews apart by colour without losing certification.

🧺 Care

  • Follow the sewn-in label: the manufacturer's data sheet does not publish the washing table.
  • Count the washes: EN ISO 20471 requires the label to state the maximum number of cycles the certification withstands.
  • Check the tapes: if the retroreflective band is cracked or dull, the jacket must be retired even if the twill still holds up.

💡 Tip: If you are torn between this jacket and the 183 two-tone fleece jacket, look at the work scenario, not the cold: the 153 is class 2 and the two-tone fleece is class 1. As an outer signalling garment, the jacket protects more; the fleece is a mid-layer. And if the work is on an open road or at night, neither is enough on its own: there the standard requires class 3.

Frequently Asked Questions

What high-visibility class does it have?

Class 2 of EN ISO 20471, in its 2013+A1:2016 version. It is the intermediate level of the standard.

Is it suitable for working on the road at night?

Not on its own. That scenario requires class 3; the 153 jacket stays at class 2.

What colour combinations are available?

Four: navy blue with fluorescent orange, navy blue with fluorescent yellow, green with fluorescent yellow and grey with fluorescent yellow.

Is it a warm garment?

It is a twill work jacket, not a padded garment. It keeps you warm as an outer layer in mid-season; for winter it is best combined with a fleece, or choose a padded garment.

What does EN ISO 13688 mean?

It is the general standard of requirements for protective clothing: innocuousness, sizing, ageing and marking. It always accompanies specific standards such as 20471.

What sizes are available?

S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL.
