Velilla 206007 hooded soft shell jacket: the heaviest and most weather-sealed in the range
This is the most substantial soft shell in the catalogue: 320 g/m² fabric compared with 280 g/m² for the rest, a 150 g/m² lining and, above all, watertight zips on the front closure and on all three outer pockets. It also adds an adjustable hood with stopper. It is the choice when the garment is going to be outdoors in wind and rain.
✅ Features

🧺 Care
Machine wash at low temperature with zips closed.
No fabric softener: it clogs the membrane and the coating of the watertight zips.
Do not bleach or dry clean.
Air dry; do not iron directly on the fabric or the zips.
💡 Tip: watertight zips are stiffer to close than a normal one, especially when the garment is new and in cold weather. Do not force the puller sideways: pull in a straight line while holding the base of the zip. Forcing it with gloves on is the most common reason the coating cracks and the jacket starts letting water in right at the closure.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a watertight zip?
A zip with a coating that stops water getting through the teeth themselves, the weak point of any jacket.
How does it differ from the 206005?
It is heavier (320 g/m2 vs 280), has a warmer lining (150 g/m2 vs 130), and comes with a hood and watertight zips.
Can the hood be removed?
It is an adjustable hood with stopper built into the garment.
Is it waterproof?
It is the most water-resistant in the soft shell range, but it does not declare EN 343 and does not replace a rain suit.
Why is the zip hard to close?
Watertight zips are stiffer, especially when new and in the cold. Pull in a straight line while holding the base.
Can I use fabric softener?
No. It damages the membrane and the coating of the zips.
