Velilla 206005 soft shell jacket: three layers in a single garment
A soft shell is not just any jacket: it's a laminate. Here there are three bonded layers —a stretch outer of 94% polyester and 6% elastane at 280 g/m², a TPU middle membrane and a 130 g/m² fleece lining— that provide wind protection, water repellency and warmth without the bulk of a down jacket. Raglan sleeves, darts at the elbow and three zipped pockets.
✅ Features
TPU middle membrane: this is the layer that blocks the wind and holds back water while letting vapour out; without it, a soft shell is just a thick fleece.
Outer with 6% elastane: the jacket stretches; it doesn't pull when you raise your arms.
130 g/m² fleece lining: keeps you warm inside without the need for a second garment.
Raglan sleeves with decorative seam at mid-sleeve: the raglan cut gives the shoulder a greater range of movement.
Elbow darts: let you bend your arm without the sleeve riding up.
Contrast-colour reverse central zip, with an inner placket at the top so it doesn't rub your chin.
Five pockets: three outer zipped welt pockets and two inside patch pockets.
Adjustable Velcro cuffs.

🧺 Care
Machine wash at a low temperature, with the zips closed.
No fabric softener: it clogs the membrane and the garment stops breathing and repelling water.
Do not bleach or dry clean.
Air dry; never iron directly on the fabric.
💡 Tip: water-repellent is not waterproof. A soft shell withstands drizzle and splashes, but in sustained rain it eventually soaks through: it does not declare EN 343 and does not replace rainwear. If the job involves hours in the rain, this jacket goes under the waterproof, not instead of it.
