Padded vest with reflective tape EN 17353 class B3
Velilla 205904 padded vest with reflective tape
It's the classic padded work vest — 220 g/m² padding, windproof armholes, seven pockets — to which Velilla adds reflective tape on the torso and EN 17353 (class B3) certification. It helps you be seen in a poorly lit warehouse, in a car park or when getting out of a vehicle at night.
Important notice: EN 17353 is not the EN ISO 20471 high-visibility standard. This vest is enhanced visibility equipment for medium-risk situations; it does not replace a class 1, 2 or 3 high-visibility garment when the risk assessment requires one — for example for work on the carriageway or on railway tracks.
✅ Features
Reflective tape on the torso: reflects light from headlights and torches back from a distance.
EN 17353 class B3: enhanced visibility certification; this is the exact information given on Velilla's technical data sheet.
220 g/m² padding: the same warmth as the 108 padded vest.
Concealed zip under placket: with reinforcing press studs, to keep out the wind.
Windproof armholes and elasticated side waistband.
Seven pockets: one chest patch pocket with flap and Velcro; one chest bellows pocket with pen holder; two lower patch pockets with flap and Velcro, each with a side pocket beneath; and one inside patch pocket.
Three colours: black, grey and navy blue.

🧺 Care
Machine wash on a gentle cycle, without wringing, so the padding doesn't clump.
The reflective tape is the delicate part: never iron it or scrub it with a brush. Every wash reduces its retroreflective performance.
Dry flat or tumble dry on low.
No bleach and no high-temperature industrial washing.
💡 Tip: Before buying it for a tender, check exactly what the tender specifies. If it says «high visibility class 2» or cites EN ISO 20471, this vest will not do: EN 17353 is a different standard, for enhanced visibility, and does not certify a high-visibility class. If the tender only asks for «reflective elements» or «enhanced visibility», this vest complies and also keeps you warm, which is something a high-visibility mesh vest doesn't do.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it a high-visibility vest?
No. It has EN 17353 class B3, which is enhanced visibility. It is not EN ISO 20471 and does not certify class 1, 2 or 3.
Is it suitable for roadside work?
Not if the tender or the risk assessment requires EN ISO 20471. For that you need a certified high-visibility garment.
So what is it for?
To make you visible in a warehouse, a building with forklifts, on the dock, in a car park or a poorly lit workshop, and it also keeps you warm.
What padding does it have?
100% polyester wadding of 220 g/m2, the same as the 108 vest.
Can the reflective tape be ironed?
No. Never. Direct heat ruins the retroreflection.
How many pockets does it have?
Seven, including a chest bellows pocket with pen compartments.
