🧺 Care
Wash without fabric softener: softener clogs the microfibre and cancels out both the repellency and the wicking capacity of the Coolmax®.
No bleach: it degrades the antibacterial finish.
No hot tumble drying or high-heat ironing on the microfibre.
💡 Tip: the mistake that ruins this chef jacket is fabric softener. It leaves a film that seals the microfibre: from then on it no longer repels liquids and the Coolmax® back no longer wicks sweat, and you have paid for two features you no longer have. Normal detergent and a rinse, nothing more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wash it with fabric softener?
No. Softener leaves a film that seals the microfibre and cancels out both the liquid repellency and the sweat-wicking of the Coolmax.
Can bleach be used?
No. It degrades the antibacterial finish.
What does the Coolmax on the back do?
It wicks sweat to the outside of the fabric so it can evaporate, in the area of the body that sweats most.
How does it differ from the 405210?
The 405210 is the same microfibre jacket with a Coolmax back but with long sleeves.
Why are the press studs concealed?
To leave a clean front, with no visible buttons, which is appreciated in open kitchens and show cooking.
Is it repellent or waterproof?
Repellent: liquids run off, but it is not a waterproof garment.
