Long-sleeve stretch chef jacket

Stretch chef jacket: the sturdiest in the range, and still stretchy

210 g/m², the heaviest fabric weight in the entire chef jacket range, with 3% elastane so that weight doesn't turn into stiffness. It's a combination you don't usually find: thick fabric that protects and still gives when you move your arm.

✅ Features

  • 210 g/m²: more fabric between your skin and splashes than any other reference in this range.
  • 3% elastane: at this weight, it's what stops the jacket pulling at the shoulders and elbows.
  • Centre fastening with concealed press studs: clean front and opens in one pull.
  • Mandarin collar with a clean line.
  • Tailored-cut sleeves with cuff vent.
  • Patch pocket on the left sleeve.

👷 Suitable for

  • Hot section, fryer and grill
  • Head chefs and teams working long shifts
  • Hotels, central kitchens and institutional catering
  • Catering and banqueting

📋 Technical data

  • Composition: 64% polyester · 33% cotton · 3% elastane
  • Fabric: stretch
  • Fabric weight: 210 g/m²
  • Fastening: centre, with concealed press studs
  • Sizes: 46 to 64 (numeric)
  • Colour in stock: white
  • Velilla reference: 405208S

🧺 Care

  • Avoid repeated very high temperatures and hot tumble drying: elastane loses its recovery.
  • White can take diluted bleach on grease stains, but use it locally, not on the whole load.
  • Close the press studs before putting it in the drum.

💡 Tip: there's a real trade-off here: this is the most protective chef jacket, but it contains elastane, and elastane doesn't withstand 90 °C washes or hot industrial drying. If your kitchen washes at high temperature every day, the 405224 without elastane will last longer. This one pays off when the head chef's comfort over long shifts comes first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it the most hard-wearing chef jacket in the range?

It has the highest fabric weight, 210 g/m², ahead of the 195 g/m² 405202TC and the 190 g/m² twill of the 405222 and 405224.

Does the high fabric weight make it stiff?

No. The 3% elastane offsets the weight and prevents pulling at the shoulders and elbows.

Does it withstand industrial washing at very high temperatures?

Elastane doesn't cope well with it. If your kitchen washes at high temperature every day, the 405224 without elastane will last longer.

Can bleach be used?

On white, diluted and applied locally to the stain, not on the whole load.

Which size should I choose?

Numeric sizing from 46 to 64. An M is roughly equivalent to 48-50 and an XL to 54-56.

How does it differ from the 405208 without the S?

The S stands for the stretch version: same design, 210 g/m² stretch fabric instead of rigid twill.

Which colours does it come in?

In this shop, white only.
