Two-tone high-visibility fleece jacket

Velilla 183 two-tone high-visibility fleece jacket: 11 colour combinations

The most versatile garment in the fleece family: eleven colour combinations on the same 280 g/m² fleece with full-length zip and three pockets. It is certified to EN ISO 20471 class 1, the entry level of the standard, because the contrast fabric takes up a good part of the garment.

✅ Features

  • Eleven two-tone combinations: black, navy blue, green, hunter green, grass green, grey, royal blue, red and maroon, combined with fluorescent yellow or orange.
  • EN ISO 20471 class 1 certification: entry level, for environments with slow-moving traffic or controlled circulation.
  • Full-length front zip: goes on and comes off over workwear without pulling it over your head.
  • Three zipped welt pockets.
  • 280 g/m² fleece with elastic cuffs and adjustable hem with toggle.
  • Reflective tapes on torso and sleeves.

👷 Suitable for

  • Corporate uniforms that need brand colour and some signalling.
  • Warehouses, workshops and maintenance in winter.
  • Customer-facing technical and support services.
  • Mid-layer under a higher-class parka or jacket.
  • Large teams that distinguish departments by colour.

📋 Technical data

  • Velilla reference: 183
  • Composition: 100% polyester fleece
  • Fabric weight: 280 g/m²
  • Standard: UNE-EN ISO 20471:2013+A1:2017, class 1
  • Colours: 11 two-tone combinations
  • Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL

🧺 Care

  • Follow the sewn-in label: the manufacturer's data sheet does not publish the washing table.
  • Count the washes: EN ISO 20471 requires the label to state the maximum number of cycles the certification withstands.
  • Matted fleece: flattened pile stops keeping you warm, and a dull fluorescent no longer meets the standard.

💡 Tip: Be careful about choosing this jacket for its colour alone. All eleven combinations are class 1: the darkest and the brightest signal equally according to the standard, because the class is set by the fluorescent surface and the tapes, not by how eye-catching the contrast looks to you. If you need more protection, step up to the single-colour 181 fleece jacket, which is class 2, or wear the 183 under a certified outer garment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all combinations have the same class?

Yes, all eleven are EN ISO 20471 class 1. The class depends on the surface of fluorescent fabric and retroreflective tape, not on the contrast colour.

How does it differ from the 181 fleece jacket?

The 181 is single-colour fluorescent and reaches class 2; the 183 is two-tone and stays at class 1. The fabric, weight and full-zip cut are the same.

And from the 182 two-tone fleece?

In the fastening and pockets: the 182 has a half zip and two pockets, the 183 has a full-length zip and three pockets. Both are class 1.

Is it suitable as the only signalling garment on a construction site?

On sites with moving machinery, class 2 is advisable, and on roads, class 3. Class 1 is reserved for environments with slow-moving traffic or controlled circulation.
