Full-zip high-visibility fleece jacket

Velilla 181 high-visibility fleece jacket: full zip and class 2

The same 280 g/m² fleece as reference 180, but with a full-length front zip and three zipped welt pockets. It is the option for those who put on and take off their warm layer several times a day over other workwear. Certified to EN ISO 20471 class 2.

✅ Features

  • EN ISO 20471 class 2 certification: being single-colour fluorescent, it reaches the intermediate level of the standard.
  • Full-length front zip: goes on and comes off without pulling it over your head, over a helmet or harness.
  • Three zipped welt pockets: one more than the half-zip version, and all of them closed.
  • 280 g/m² fleece: a genuinely warm weight.
  • Reflective tapes on torso and sleeves.
  • Elastic cuffs and adjustable hem with toggle.

👷 Suitable for

  • Construction and industry in winter, as an outer or mid layer.
  • Logistics, loading docks and delivery.
  • Outdoor maintenance and municipal services.
  • Work that alternates between indoors and outdoors during the same shift.
  • Teams who wear a harness or vest on top and need to open the garment without undressing.

📋 Technical data

  • Velilla reference: 181
  • Composition: 100% polyester fleece
  • Fabric weight: 280 g/m²
  • Standard: UNE-EN ISO 20471:2013+A1:2017, class 2
  • Colours: fluorescent yellow and fluorescent orange
  • Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL

🧺 Care

  • Follow the sewn-in label: the manufacturer's data sheet does not publish the washing table.
  • Count the washes: EN ISO 20471 requires the label to state the maximum number of cycles the certification withstands.
  • Keep an eye on the colour: a dull fluorescent no longer meets the luminance values of the standard, even if the garment is intact.

💡 Tip: If the jacket is going to be worn under a vest or harness, remember that class 2 only counts for the visible garment. A covered garment does not signal: in that set-up, what matters is the class of the outer layer. And for open roads or night work, neither the 180 nor the 181 is enough on its own, because the standard requires class 3.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it differ from the Velilla 180 fleece?

In the fastening and the pockets. The 181 has a full-length zip and three welt pockets; the 180 has a half zip and two chest pockets. The fabric, weight and class 2 are the same.

Why is it class 2 when the two-tone 183 fleece is class 1?

Because the class depends on the surface of fluorescent fabric. The 181 is all fluorescent; the 183 incorporates contrast and drops a level.

Is it suitable for working on the road at night?

No. That use requires class 3 and this jacket is class 2.

Does the certification count if I wear a vest on top?

Signalling is provided by the visible garment. If the fleece is covered, the protection level is set by the outer garment.

How many pockets does it have?

Three, welt pockets with zips.

What sizes are available?

XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL, in fluorescent yellow and fluorescent orange.
