Do not use fabric softener: it cancels out the liquid-repellent treatment, which is what gives this garment its value.

💡 Tip: liquid-repellent treatments are lost with fabric softener and very aggressive washing. If you send the garment to an industrial laundry, state explicitly that no softener should be used: it is the number one reason a customer says after three months that «it doesn't repel anything any more».
