Work bib and brace trousers

Velilla 290 bib and brace trousers: the classic bib for the workshop and the building site

A bib solves something no pair of trousers does: it covers the lower back when you bend down and holds the garment up from the shoulders, not the waist, so it doesn't squeeze your stomach for eight hours. This one is made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton twill, 200 g/m², with adjustable elastic braces, PVC buckles and six pockets, including two tool pockets on the right leg.

✅ Features

  • Bib with zipped chest pocket and compartments: what you carry there doesn't fall out when you bend down.
  • Elastic braces with PVC buckles: height-adjustable and with no metal parts that could scratch.
  • Side buttons at the waist: allow you to adjust the fit and get in and out of the garment comfortably.
  • Two tool pockets on the right leg, positioned one above the other.
  • Elasticated waist and braces: adapt to the body and to movement.
  • Double safety stitching and comfort darts.

👷 Suitable for

  • Painting, plastering and work where splashes go upwards.
  • Carpentry, mechanics and plumbing.
  • Construction and building sites.
  • Agriculture, gardening and livestock farming.
  • Industrial cleaning and handling.

  • Machine wash according to the label; the 65% polyester allows frequent washing.

  • Iron at medium temperature.
  • Do not use bleach: it discolours the twill, especially bright shades.

💡 Tip: bib trousers are not sized the same way as trousers. The 290's size follows that of waist trousers, but the length of the brace matters as much as the waist measurement: a tall person in a size 46 may need the brace at its maximum position and run out of adjustment. If you are kitting out a team of different heights, check the brace adjustment range first, not just the size.
