High-visibility class 3 waterproof parka EN 343

Velilla 306004 high-visibility parka: class 3 and rain protection in a single garment

It is the combination road crews look for: EN ISO 20471 class 3 and rain protection certified to EN 343. 100% polyester outer with PU coating at 190 g/m², 60 g/m² lining and 160 g/m² wadding.

✅ Features

  • EN ISO 20471 class 3: the highest level; compliant on its own on carriageways open to traffic and at night.
  • Waterproof to EN 343: the manufacturer's current data sheet declares class 3 for water penetration and class 1 for water vapour resistance.
  • 160 g/m² wadding padding: a genuine winter garment, not just a rain jacket.
  • Hood concealed inside the collar: always available and never in the way.
  • Zipped back opening to make screen printing easier: lets you customise the back without stitching through the padding.
  • Three pockets (two lower patch pockets with hook-and-loop flaps, one inside) and ribbed cuffs.

👷 Suitable for

  • Road maintenance and signalling, including night shifts.
  • Tow trucks, roadside assistance and emergency services.
  • Civil engineering, railways and airports where class 3 is required.
  • Waste collection and street cleaning in winter.
  • Any outdoor job with rain and cold.

🧺 Care

  • Machine wash at low temperature; close the zip first.

  • No chlorine bleach.
  • Do not iron over the reflective tapes.
  • Air dry; high heat deforms the padding and damages the coating.

💡 Tip: EN 343 has two numbers that mean different things: the first is resistance to water penetration and the second is water vapour resistance, i.e. how breathable it is. A garment with high waterproofing and low breathability keeps you dry from the rain but wet with sweat if you work hard. For tasks with a lot of movement, alternate this parka with the 306005 soft shell, which is much more breathable.
