Long-sleeve cotton high-visibility polo shirt, class 2

Velilla 305524 high-visibility polo shirt: long sleeves with segmented tape

Long sleeves, cotton piqué and heat-sealed segmented reflective tape on the torso and sleeves. This is the Reflatex RS range reference for those who spend the day outdoors and need EN ISO 20471 class 2 without giving up the comfort of cotton.

✅ Features

  • Heat-sealed segmented tape: no stitching, more flexible than continuous tape; the arm bends without feeling stiff.
  • 55% cotton - 45% polyester piqué, 150 g/m².
  • Long sleeves: protect the arm from the sun and from abrasion.
  • Central button placket, ribbed collar and cuffs.
  • Chest patch pocket.
  • EN ISO 20471 class 2.

👷 Suitable for

  • Civil engineering and road signage during daytime hours.
  • Railways and airports, where class 2 is the minimum requirement.
  • Gardening and municipal services.
  • Jobs involving a lot of arm movement.
  • As a base layer under high-visibility outerwear.

📋 Technical data

  • Velilla reference: 305524
  • Composition: piqué, 55% cotton - 45% polyester
  • Fabric weight: 150 g/m²
  • Standard: EN ISO 20471, class 2
  • Range: Reflatex RS Segmented Tape
  • Colours: fluorescent yellow and fluorescent orange
  • Sizes available at Vetonek: S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL
  • Pockets: one chest patch pocket

🧺 Care

  • Machine wash; because of the cotton it shrinks slightly more than a polyester polo.
  • Do not iron over the heat-sealed tape: it will come off.
  • No chlorine bleach.
  • Use little fabric softener, so as not to coat the retroreflective material.
  • Retire the garment if the tape lifts or the fluorescent colour loses intensity.

💡 Tip: if you are buying for industrial laundering, ask about the drying cycle. Heat-sealed tape withstands washing, but very hot dryers and roller ironers are what damage it most. With sewn-on tape (reference 305514) that risk is lower, although the garment is somewhat stiffer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What high-visibility class does it have?

Class 2 according to EN ISO 20471, as per the manufacturer's data sheet.

What is the difference from the 305514?

The fabric is the same; what changes is the reflective tape, which here is segmented and heat-sealed instead of continuous and sewn on.

What does RS mean?

Segmented reflective tape; not to be confused with GRS, which is the recycled polyester certificate.

Can it be ironed?

Not over the tape: heat makes it come off.

What colours does it come in?

Fluorescent yellow and fluorescent orange.

What sizes are available?

From S to 3XL.

Is it suitable for road work at night?

Not on its own: class 3 is required there.
