Hooded rain poncho

Velilla 187 rain poncho: the one you keep in your backpack and hardly ever use

A poncho doesn't compete with a rain suit: it competes with having nothing at all. Waterproof 180 g/m² PVC with integrated hood, heat-sealed seams and carry bag included, in one size. It stays in the vehicle or the toolbox and comes out the day an unexpected downpour hits.

✅ Features

  • Heat-sealed seams: the seam is where water gets into a waterproof garment; here they are sealed with heat, not just stitched.
  • 100% PVC, 180 g/m²: a complete barrier to water, with no breathability —that is the trade-off with PVC.
  • Integrated hood and reinforced neck opening.
  • Side closures with plastic press studs: they control the width of the poncho and stop the wind from lifting it.
  • Carry bag included: it is stored folded and takes up little space.
  • One size: the generous cut fits over workwear and a backpack.

👷 Suitable for

  • Delivery and last mile.
  • Construction, gardening and municipal services.
  • Logistics and loading on open docks.
  • Events and outdoor support staff.
  • Any job that needs an emergency solution against the rain.

🧺 Care

  • Dry spread out before storing: folding damp PVC makes it stick to itself and crack.
  • Clean with a damp cloth; do not machine wash.
  • Do not iron or place near heat sources: PVC deforms.
  • Store in its bag, avoiding sharp folds along the same line.

💡 Tip: PVC does not breathe. During a day of physical work under the poncho you end up wet on the inside from your own sweat, even if not a drop of rain gets in. It is meant for short trips and downpours, not for spending eight hours working underneath it. If rain is the rule rather than the exception in the job, the solution is a two-piece rain suit such as the 195, not a poncho.
