Segura clay barrel tile

The classic curved tile for a roof that fits its surroundings

The Vetonek Segura clay barrel tile is the traditional curved piece for classic, Mediterranean and rustic-style roofs. It works both in new builds and in the restoration of old roofs, where the original look has to be respected. It is designed for builders, renovators and homeowners looking for an authentic tiled roof.

✅ Benefits

  • Genuine traditional look: the curved shape allows the time-honoured channel-and-cover laying of classic roofs.
  • Two colours: red for a roof with a vivid tone and light to blend in with weathered roofs or stone surroundings.
  • Easy to handle: between 2.4 and 2.5 kg per tile, carried up and laid by hand without special equipment.
  • Ideal for restoration: lets you repair or extend old roofs while keeping the roof's appearance.
  • Buy just what you need: pack of 125 tiles for repairs and pallet of 250 for complete roofs.

🧰 Installation

  1. Check that the roof deck and pitch are suitable for curved tiles.
  2. Set out the courses from the eaves, marking the spacing between channel tiles.
  3. Lay the channel tiles (concave side up) from the bottom upwards, with the planned overlap.
  4. Lay the cover tiles over the joints between channel tiles, with the same overlap.
  5. Fix the tiles with mortar or with the fixing system required in your area, and finish valleys, hips and ridge.

💡 Vetonek tip: If you are replacing tiles on an old roof, order the light tile or mix pieces of both colours: the patch is far less noticeable than with new red tiles alone.
