Planchoncillo on a sand bed or fixed with mortar.
There are two very valid options for laying stone planchon, fixed with mortar grout pads or on a sand bed; at Vetonek we recommend doing it on a sand bed whenever possible, it is easier to place and the result is very stable, comfortable and durable.
Planchoncillo paving fits perfectly in rustic projects but is increasingly used in gardens and chalets with contemporary aesthetics, since they create a very interesting contrast between modern and classic.
It is important to make a prior layout on the ground to ensure that the final placement will look good aesthetically.
Planchoncillo paths with straight edges or free edges.
There are two options for making stone planchonzuelo paths, with free edges or with defined straight edges.
To do it with defined straight edges, the best thing is to run a string on each side of the path and lay out the slabs starting from the two edges, making a straight line, and finish in the center of the path completing the "puzzle".
In the case of making it with a straight edge, the edge can simply be left as is or marked and strengthened with a stone curb.
Wall and facade cladding with irregular stone.
Planchoncillo or irregular stone is also used as facade cladding; in this case it is advisable that the slab not have a thickness greater than 3 cm.
It is a very economical solution, with noble aesthetic results and that insulates buildings very well from damp, especially slate planchon, which is very waterproof.
