Más información sobre Pliers and screwdrivers

Bellota pliers and screwdrivers cover gripping, cutting, wire stripping and driving screws in mechanics, electrical work and electronics: combination pliers, side cutters, long-nose pliers, multi-grip pliers, wire strippers and insulated 1000 V pliers, plus screwdrivers and sets.

Types of pliers and screwdrivers

  • Combination and cutting pliers: the 6100 BIM heavy-duty combination pliers with bimaterial handles and the 6110 BIM diagonal cutting pliers, both forged. Heavy-duty diagonal cutters and end cutters with induction-hardened edges are also available.
  • Long-nose and gripping pliers: straight and bent half-round jaws and flat jaws for gripping and shaping in tight spaces.
  • Multi-grip pliers and wire strippers: rack-type or box-joint multi-grip pliers, such as the 6162 designed for plumbing, and adjustable wire strippers.
  • Insulated 1000 V: combination, diagonal cutting, long-nose and wire-stripping pliers in VDE versions for electricians, such as the 26102 VDE insulated combination pliers.
  • Screwdrivers and sets: Trimax series with CrMoV shaft: hollow-ground slotted, stamped slotted, 66220 Phillips and Pozidriv, plus 6-piece sets for mechanics, for electronics (precision) and for electricians, such as the 66291.

How to choose pliers and screwdrivers

  • For general use, a pair of combination pliers and a diagonal cutter handle most tasks.
  • If you work on electrical systems, choose insulated 1000 V tools and check the insulation is in good condition before use.
  • For tight spaces or small parts, pick half-round or flat long-nose pliers.
  • Match the screwdriver tip to the screw: slotted, Phillips or Pozidriv; a tip that does not fit damages the screw head.
  • If you need several sizes, a screwdriver set is usually more practical than single pieces.

Frequently asked questions

Which pliers do I need to cut cable?

To cut cable you most often use diagonal cutting pliers, such as the Bellota 6110 BIM, or combination pliers that also cut. For thick cable or demanding cuts, heavy-duty versions exist.

What are 1000 V insulated pliers for?

They are designed for working on electrical installations, where there is a risk of touching live parts. Before each use, check that the insulation is not damaged.

What is the difference between a Phillips and a Pozidriv screwdriver?

Both have a cross-shaped tip, but the Pozidriv has extra markings and fits Pozidriv screws more precisely. Using the right tip avoids damaging the screw head.

What are multi-grip pliers?

They are pliers whose joint allows several jaw openings to grip parts of different sizes. The 6160 and 6162 models have a parrot-beak shape and the 6162 is designed for plumbing.

Which screwdriver set should I choose for electronics?

For electronics, the Bellota 6250J set of 6 precision screwdrivers fits, designed for small parts. For electrical installations there is a 6-piece electrician's set, the 66291.
