Sepúlveda Multiformat Concrete Paver - 3 sizes for random layout

Sepúlveda Paver: three sizes on the same pallet for a random laying pattern

The Sepúlveda Paver is not a single piece: it is a combination of three sizes — 18x12, 12x12 and 9x12 cm — supplied mixed together on the same pallet, in non-splittable packs. It is designed this way on purpose, to be laid in a random pattern and achieve a cobblestone-style pavement, without the mechanical repetition of a single-size paver.

⚠️ Important before ordering: the three sizes are not sold separately. When you buy a square metre or a pallet of Sepúlveda you will receive all three sizes mixed in the factory proportion, not just the 18x12. If you need a single uniform size, the right product is the Lerma Paver or the Ujué Paver.

✅ Advantages

  • Random laying pattern as standard: the three sizes arrive already mixed, with no need to combine pallets or orders.
  • Cobblestone look: the mix of sizes breaks up the grid and gives a much more natural finish.
  • Two thicknesses: Sepúlveda 6 for pedestrian use and light traffic; Sepúlveda 8 for vehicle traffic.
  • Common width of 12 cm: all three pieces share the same width, so the courses close without awkward adjustments.
  • Certified strength: UNE-EN 1338, strength Xi>2.9 / X8>3.6 MPa and satisfactory breaking load X8>250 N/mm.
  • Wear and absorption: class 4 I (Xi<20 mm) and absorption class 2B (X8<6%).

🏗️ Applications

  • Squares, historic town centres and pedestrian streets.
  • Walkways, paths and landscaped access areas.
  • Patios, porches and outdoor seating areas.
  • Roads and car parks, always with the 8 cm thickness.
  • Walkable roofs.

📋 Technical data

  • Sepúlveda 6 — 18x12x6 + 12x12x6 + 9x12x6 cm: approx. 64 pieces/m², 135 kg/m², pallet of 8.88 m² (approx. 569 pieces) and 1,199 kg actual weight.
  • Sepúlveda 8 — 18x12x8 + 12x12x8 + 9x12x8 cm: approx. 64 pieces/m², 178 kg/m², pallet of 6.74 m² (approx. 432 pieces) and 1,200 kg actual weight.
  • Supply: combination in non-splittable packs, with the three sizes mixed on the pallet.
  • Material: vibro-pressed concrete.
  • Standard: UNE-EN 1338. Strength Xi>2.9 / X8>3.6 MPa. Breaking load X8>250 N/mm.
  • Wear: class 4 I, Xi<20 mm. Absorption: class 2B, X8<6%.
  • Intended use: pedestrian use, areas subject to vehicle traffic and roofs.

🧰 Installation

  1. Excavate the foundation area and compact the natural ground, forming the drainage slope.
  2. Spread and compact a crushed stone base of 15-20 cm for pedestrian use, or 25-30 cm if there will be vehicle traffic.
  3. Lay a 3-5 cm layer of bedding sand, screeded level with a straightedge and left uncompacted.
  4. Open several packs at once and keep the three sizes at hand: a random pattern only works well if you alternate sizes as you go, not by laying them in batches.
  5. Confine the entire perimeter with a kerb or concrete edging so that the pavement does not spread apart.
  6. Sweep silica sand into the joints, run the plate compactor with a rubber pad over it and repeat the sweeping a few days later.

📦 Formats and colours

  • Sepúlveda 6: 18x12x6 + 12x12x6 + 9x12x6 cm on the same pallet — grey and colour.
  • Sepúlveda 8: 18x12x8 + 12x12x8 + 9x12x8 cm on the same pallet — grey and colour.
  • Sizes are not supplied loose: the pallet is indivisible and comes with all three sizes mixed.
  • Shades available from the factory: grey, cream, red and black. Cream, red and black are priced under the Color value, which is how the manufacturer invoices them.

💡 Professional tip: with the Sepúlveda, the most common mistake is to lay all the large pieces first and leave the small ones for last: you end up with a floor split into two zones and there is no fixing it. Open three or four packs at once, also mix pieces from different pallets and alternate sizes course by course; this also spreads the shade variations from each batch so you don't get patches. Order 5-7% extra for cuts and finishing. And there is no leeway with thickness: 6 cm is for pedestrians and light cars; as soon as loaded vans or lorries come in, use 8 cm over a well-compacted crushed stone base.
