240 g/m² stretch multi-pocket shorts

Velilla 103009S multi-pocket stretch Bermuda shorts

The S at the end of the reference stands for stretch, and here it is no mere decoration: the fabric is 46% cotton, 38% EME and 16% polyester, 240 g/m². It is a heavier fabric than the twill of the 344 Bermuda shorts — 240 versus 200 g/m² — and at the same time elastic, which in work trousers means you can squat down without the garment pulling at the knee or the crotch.

✅ Features

  • 240 g/m² stretch fabric: 46% cotton, 38% EME and 16% polyester, according to Velilla's official composition.
  • Real elasticity: lets you crouch, kneel and climb stairs without the shorts restricting your movement.
  • Heavier weight than the classic Bermuda shorts: 240 g/m² versus the 200 g/m² of the 344.
  • Contrast topstitching and double safety stitching.
  • Elastic waistband with zip and button fastening.
  • Six pockets: two slash pockets, two bellows pockets with a central pleat and Velcro, and two patch back pockets with Velcro.
  • Six colors and sizes from 34 to 60.

👷 What jobs they are for

  • Installations, plumbing and electrical work: lots of time spent squatting.
  • Industrial maintenance and technical support.
  • Construction sites and renovations in summer.
  • Gardening and municipal services.
  • Any job where rigid Bermuda shorts end up tearing at the crotch.

📋 Technical specifications

  • Velilla reference: 103009S
  • Fabric: stretch, 46% cotton - 38% EME - 16% polyester, 240 g/m²
  • Waistband: elastic
  • Stitching: double safety stitching
  • Pockets: 6
  • Sizes: from 34 to 60
  • Colors: black, navy blue, white, gray, sand beige and navy

🧺 Care

  • Machine wash at 40°. Do not go up to 60°: high heat shortens the life of the elastic fiber.
  • Fasten the Velcro before washing.
  • Air dry. The tumble dryer is what degrades a stretch fabric the most.
  • Iron at medium temperature, never high.

💡 Tip: A stretch fabric is ruined by heat, not by use. If your company sends its clothing to an industrial laundry that washes at 60° and tunnel-dries, these Bermuda shorts will lose elasticity within a few months and end up bagging at the knees. In that case, the 344 Bermuda shorts or the 103007 in 65/35 twill are a better choice, as they withstand that treatment without flinching. Stretch is for clothing that is washed at home or on a gentle cycle.
