💡 Pro tip: briquettes take a little longer to light than lumpwood charcoal, but then they last much longer. Light them in a pyramid or with a chimney starter and wait until they are grey on the outside before spreading them out. For long cooks, combine a base of briquettes with some lumpwood charcoal to get going sooner.
