Muro Cellorigo - Concrete Retaining Wall Block

Muro Cellorigo: retain the soil without formwork

To deal with a change in level in your garden, you don't need to form and pour a concrete wall: retaining blocks are laid in courses, work by gravity and leave a decorative exposed face. Muro Cellorigo is a 10 × 25 × 50 cm concrete block available in five colors, with a matching cap piece to finish the wall, designed for low retaining walls, planters and raised beds.

✅ Main advantages

  • Long 50 cm format: fast progress, 40 pieces per m² of wall.
  • Laid in courses: in a staggered-joint pattern on a firm base, bedded in mortar.
  • Matching cap: the coping piece finishes the wall with a clean look (4 units per linear meter).
  • Five colors: Blanco, Crema, Gris, Rojo and Salmón, to blend into any garden.
  • Cheaper full pallet: 72 units at a better price per piece.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Low soil-retaining walls
  • Masonry planters and raised beds
  • Terracing of slopes
  • Garden dividers and decorative low walls

📋 Technical data sheet

  • Material: vibro-pressed concrete
  • Dimensions: 10 × 25 × 50 cm (block and cap)
  • Weight: block 23 kg, cap 22 kg
  • Pieces per m²: 40 (block); cap: 4 per linear meter
  • Pallet: 72 units (≈ 1,680 kg)
  • Colors: Blanco, Crema, Gris, Rojo and Salmón
  • Use: outdoor

🧰 Installation

  1. Prepare a level, buried concrete footing or base.
  2. Lay the first course perfectly level: it sets the standard for the whole wall.
  3. Build up course by course with staggered joints, bedded in mortar.
  4. If the wall retains soil, provide drainage at the base and a drainage membrane behind it.
  5. Finish with the cap piece.

💡 Pro tip: what ruins garden walls is not the weight of the soil but the water that builds up behind them: leave drainage weep holes every meter in the first course and the wall will last for decades. For heights above one meter, consult a professional.

Frequently Asked Questions
