SikaCeram®-650 Classic - CG2WA Grout for 1 to 6 mm Joints
SikaCeram®-650 Classic: cementitious grout for 1 to 6 mm joints
Premixed grouting mortar classified CG2WA according to UNE EN 13888, i.e. an improved cementitious grout with reduced water absorption (W) and high abrasion resistance (A): less than 1,000 mm³ of wear according to EN 12808-2.
What sets it apart is its range of 24 stable colors. The grout joint takes up to 10% of the visible surface of a tiled area: choosing the right shade is what separates a correct job from one that looks like it came out of a catalog.
✅ Main advantages
Water-repellent (class W): repels water and dirt, so the joint darkens much less.
Abrasion-resistant (class A): ≤ 1,000 mm³ according to EN 12808-2, suitable for floors with foot traffic.
Stable color: UV-resistant, so the shade holds up on terraces and facades.
Wait 24 to 36 hours after laying the tiles before grouting.
Empty and clean the joints thoroughly: adhesive residue, dust or spacers ruin the final color.
Mix the 5 kg bag with ~1.5 l of clean water (30%) until you obtain a creamy, lump-free paste.
Let it rest for a few minutes, remix and apply with a rubber float diagonally across the joints, filling them completely.
Remove the excess with the edge of the float before it starts to harden.
Once the material has lost its sheen, clean with a well-wrung damp sponge using circular movements.
Wipe off the final haze with a dry cloth. Always work between +5 °C and +35 °C.

💡 Professional tip: the enemy of uniform color is not the product, it's the water. If you measure by eye, every bucket will come out a different shade and the difference will be visible on the wall forever. Always measure the same one and a half liters per bag, don't add water to “refresh” a mix that is hardening, and clean with a well-wrung sponge: excess water washes the cement out of the surface and leaves the joint pale and powdery.
