Madroño Path Round: a concrete stepping piece that looks like a cut log
Real timber log rounds look lovely the first year and turn as slippery as ice the second, once moss sets in. This concrete round reproduces the cut face of a log, grain and rings included, coloured through the mix in Oak, and takes foot traffic and weather with no degrading.

🧰 Installation
Walk the route and mark with stakes where each footstep falls.
Excavate 8 cm in the footprint of each round.
Spread 4 cm of fine sand or crushed aggregate and compact it.
Bed the round, tapping with a rubber mallet until it sits slightly below the lawn.
Backfill the edges and water to settle it.

💡 Professional tip: don't choose the Ø 29 cm for a path that will see daily use. At 29 cm the foot lands right at the edge, and as soon as it rains people step off it and churn up mud around it. For regular foot traffic use the Ø 43 cm; save the small size for decorative routes or for mixing in between larger rounds.
