Frequently asked questions

What tools do I need to lay tiles?

At a minimum, a notched trowel to spread the adhesive, a tile cutter or nippers to fit the pieces, spacers or a levelling system, and a rubber grout float and sponges for grouting and cleaning.

Which trowel notch should I choose?

It depends on the tile format: the notch is chosen according to the size of the tile. The Bellota 5873 notched trowel comes with notches of 3, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 20 mm.

Which tile cutter should I choose?

Choose according to the cutting length and the format of the pieces. The Bellota range goes from the 630 mm Pop to the Lean320, with up to 3200 mm for large-format slabs.

What is a tile levelling system for?

It keeps the tiles at the same level while the adhesive sets. Bellota offers the Push&Level system, which needs no tools, and a wedge system that is tightened with pliers.
