Diamond-Point Pillar Cap - End Piece with Drip Edge for Chimneys

Diamond-Point Pillar Cap: what it is

The diamond-point pillar cap is the four-slope end piece that caps pillars and chimneys. Its built-in drip edge stops water getting in and the slope on all four faces minimises dirt build-up on top, so the whole thing stays clean and functional.

✅ Key advantages

  • Four-slope profile: water drains off all four sides and doesn't pool on the piece.
  • Built-in drip edge: optimal water drainage and protection for the pillar's exposed face.
  • Three sizes: 28 × 28, 40 × 40 and 50 × 50 cm, covering everything from a narrow chimney to a 40 cm pillar.
  • Less maintenance: the slope sheds dust and leaves, so the top of the pillar gets far less dirty.
  • Colours: white and beige, matching the Bellver pillar and block and the Loarre pillar.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Capping chimneys and exposed-brick flues.
  • Capping fence pillars and plot enclosures.
  • Capping gate and entrance piers.
  • Finishing buttresses in garden walls.
  • Capping pillars for porches and built pergolas.

🧰 Installation

  1. Finish the pillar or chimney with the last course flush and let it cure before capping it.
  2. Clean the top and check the level in both directions.
  3. Dry-fit the piece and spread the overhang evenly on all four sides; leave 3 to 5 cm per side.
  4. Apply concrete-paver adhesive in interior beads, without reaching into the drip-edge groove.
  5. Bed with a rubber mallet and check the level again before the adhesive grabs.
  6. Remove any material that spills over the perimeter while fresh.

📦 Available formats

  • 28 × 28 × 3.5 × 7 cm — white or beige — single unit or pallet of 24.
  • 40 × 40 × 5.5 × 9 cm — white or beige — single unit or pallet of 24.
  • 50 × 50 × 6 × 10 cm — white or beige — single unit or pallet of 14.

💡 Professional tip: for chimneys, measure the flue before ordering, not the brick pillar: the piece needs to overhang past the cladding, not sit flush with it. If the cap doesn't project at least 3 cm on each side, water runs straight down the face, the drip-edge groove doesn't do its job, and vertical stains appear below the cap by the first winter.
