Bellver Concrete Block - Smooth Face for Walls and Fences

Bellver Block: what it is

The Bellver block is the smooth-faced concrete piece for building walls and fences with a clean, regular finish. It covers 15 pieces per square metre and is laid with conventional mortar, with no cladding needed afterwards.

✅ Key advantages

  • Smooth exposed face: a regular surface with no open pores, ready to be left exposed straight off the pallet.
  • Three factory colours: grey, white and beige, through-coloured in the whole piece.
  • Two formats: 40 × 17 × 17.1 cm for the running panel and 40 × 40 × 17.1 cm for corners and reinforcements.
  • Manageable weight: 11.2 kg per piece, easy to handle by hand all day.
  • Compatible with the Bellver pillar: same course height and finish, so wall and pillar form a single look.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Enclosure walls and perimeter fencing.
  • Garden walls, raised beds and built-in planters.
  • Terrace and rooftop parapets.
  • Decorative exposed-face interior partitions.
  • Plinths and bases combined with pillars.

📋 Technical data sheet

  • Material: high-quality concrete.
  • Dimensions: 40 × 17 × 17.1 cm and 40 × 40 × 17.1 cm.
  • Weight per unit: 11.2 kg.
  • Pieces per m²: 15.00.
  • Colours available: grey, white and beige.
  • Units per pallet (40 × 17 × 17.1 cm): 105 units.
  • Units per pallet (40 × 40 × 17.1 cm): 24 units.

🧰 Installation

  1. Cast a level strip footing and leave reinforcement starter bars where the pillars will go.
  2. Lay the first course on fresh mortar and check level, plumb and square: any error here carries all the way up.
  3. Build up with staggered joints of consistent thickness, filling the vertical joints too.
  4. Check plumb every two courses with a straightedge and spirit level.
  5. Remove excess mortar with the trowel while fresh; on a smooth face, cement-wash marks are far more noticeable than on a rough texture.
  6. Cap it with a coping or pillar cap with a drip edge so water doesn't run down the exposed face.

📦 Available formats

  • 40 × 17 × 17.1 cm — grey, white or beige — single unit or pallet of 105.
  • 40 × 40 × 17.1 cm — grey, white or beige — single unit or pallet of 24.

💡 Professional tip: on a smooth face, the joint shows. Always use the same jointing trowel and mortar from the same batch on a single panel; if you have to stop work, break at a full vertical joint, never mid-course, because a mortar colour shift gives the break away for good.
