Más información sobre Measuring and levelling
The Bellota spirit levels, tape measures and laser measures are for measuring, levelling and setting out on site: measuring tapes, spirit levels and BePower laser levels, plumb bobs, chalk lines, squares and marking pencils.
Types of measuring and levelling tools
- Tape measures and measuring tapes: the chrome tape measure 50012 has a 25 mm steel blade and comes in 5 and 8 m; for long distances there are fibreglass tapes of up to 50 m.
- Spirit levels: the tubular level 50101 has an accuracy of 0.5 mm/m and comes from 300 to 2000 mm.
- Laser levels and laser measures: the BePower NIV360 laser level projects three 360º planes, and the MED50R laser measure measures from 0.05 to 50 m.
- Plumb bobs and chalk lines: the plumb bob 50250 includes 5 m of nylon cord, and the chalk line 50220 has a 30 m line.
- Squares and pencils: carpenter's, stone and multi-purpose pencils for marking wood, concrete or ceramic.

How to choose measuring and levelling tools
- Length: tape measures of 3 to 8 m for everyday use and fibreglass tapes of 10 to 50 m for setting out.
- Blade width: a wider blade stays straight longer; the blade of the 50013 tape measure is 33 mm wide and does not bend up to 3 m.
- Accuracy: check the accuracy class of the tape and the millimetres per metre of the level or laser.
- Red or green laser: green is easier to see in bright light.
- Magnetic tip: lets you measure on your own on steel sections and sheet.
Frequently asked questions
Which laser level should I choose for indoor work?
For suspended ceilings, squaring up partitions and indoor setting out, the three-plane 360º level is the most complete option. The BePower NIV360 self-levels up to 4º and reaches 30 m, or 50 m with a receiver.
What is the difference between a red and a green laser?
The green laser is easier to see in bright light, while on the NIV20 cross-line level the red version offers more battery life, 12 hours against 6. Choose according to where you will be working.
What length of spirit level do I need?
A long level is good for checking large surfaces and a short one for details and tight spaces. The Bellota 50101 level comes from 300 to 2000 mm.
What is a chalk line for?
It is used to snap straight lines on floors, walls or ceilings with marking chalk. The Bellota 50220 chalk line locks the line when you close the crank, and its hook attaches to different surfaces so you can work alone.
What is a plumb bob used for?
It is used to check that walls, pillars and partitions are perfectly vertical. The Bellota 50250 plumb bob comes in 200 g for indoor use and 500 g for more stability outdoors or in the wind.
