Caustic Soda Micro-Beads 1KG - Quicesa

Quicesa caustic soda is a highly effective product in micro-bead form, made of 99% sodium hydroxide. It comes in a handy 1 kg container, ideal for a range of applications at home and in industry.

Product Uses:

  • Drain unblocker: Ideal for clearing blocked pipes. Add a spoonful of caustic soda to the blocked pipe and pour in a glass of hot water. Leave to stand for 30 minutes. If the blockage persists, repeat the process and finally flush with plenty of water.
  • Paint stripper: Mix 1 part caustic soda with 10 parts water to create a paste. Apply it hot onto the paint and remove with a spatula. Caution: it can damage surfaces and cause burns, so wear gloves and protective goggles.
  • Soap making: To make soap bars, mix 0.55 kg of caustic soda, 3 L of oil and 3 L of water. Dissolve the caustic soda in hot water and mix with the oil. For powdered soap, use 0.5 kg of perborate and 0.5 kg of detergent, together with 6 L of water and oil.

  • Avoid prolonged contact with surfaces, as it can cause damage.
