Stainless Steel Pillar Trim - Decorative Finish

Stainless Steel Pillar Trim: what it is

The pillar trim is the detail piece that gives a precast pillar a decorative finish with a modern, metallic look. It's designed for smooth-face, marble-finish and ribbed-texture pillars, fitting them all with no adaptation or intermediate pieces.

✅ Key advantages

  • Stainless steel: a material that doesn't rust outdoors and keeps its shine with just a damp cloth.
  • Material contrast: the metal against the concrete breaks up the enclosure's monotony with no extra building work.
  • Lightweight piece: 0.38 kg per unit, fitted without help or lifting gear.
  • Two standard sizes: 30 × 30 × 3 cm and 40 × 40 × 3 cm, for the two most common pillar sections.
  • Compatible with several ranges: fits the smooth-face, marble-finish and ribbed-texture pillars.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Decorative detail on fence and plot-enclosure pillars.
  • Marking gate and main-entrance piers.
  • Decorative finish on buttresses in garden walls.
  • Personalising contemporary-style enclosures.
  • Combining with steel ironwork and gates.

🧰 Installation

  1. Decide at what height on the pillar you want the trim, and mark it before you start stacking the pillar.
  2. Insert it into the corresponding course, as just another piece in the stack.
  3. Check that all four faces sit flush with the concrete pieces, with no step.
  4. Check level and plumb before continuing with the next course.
  5. Protect the exposed face with masking tape for the rest of the job and remove it at the end.

📦 Available formats

  • 40 × 40 × 3 cm — stainless steel — single unit or pallet of 12.
  • 30 × 30 × 3 cm — stainless steel — single unit or pallet of 12.

💡 Professional tip: don't clean the stainless steel with a metal scourer or chlorinated products. Carbon-steel particles shed by the scourer embed in the surface and rust within a few weeks, leaving spots that look like a defect in the piece. Water, mild soap and a soft cloth worked in the direction of the polish are all it needs.
